TRANSFORMER DISTRIBUTION: TRAIN MOVES TO ODOGBOLU LG.

The joy of the residents of four communities in Odogbolu Local Government Area of Ogun State knew no bound on Tuesday as they took possession of electricity transformers being distributed by the State Government. The benefiting Communities include Agoro, Agada, Latogun and Itele.

Presenting the transformers, the Commissioner for Special Duties, Dr. Lanre Tejuoso reiterated the State Government’s commitment towards improving socio-economic life of residents through the provision of basic infrastructures.

He pointed out that in fulfillment of its campaign promises, government would continue to embark on projects that would make living more abundant, urging them to take necessary steps to safeguard the transformer against vandalisation and theft.

Speaking on the development, Secretary of Agada Community Development Association, Evangelist Idowu Abudu thanked the State government for the provision of the electricity transformer and assured of its safety at all times.

On his part, the Baale of Agoro Community, Chief Jonathan Adebola described the gesture as a welcome relief, stressing that it will go a long way in boosting the socio-economic activities of the area, while the Chairman, Itele Community Development Association, Otunba Ishola Odukoya declared that the community had never had it so good in the recent times.

In a related development, a new 2,500 k.v.a transformer was also presented to Ogun State Broadcasting Corporation (OGBC), Ogun State Television (OGTV) and adjourning communities in Obafemi Owode Local Government.

Receiving the transformer on behalf of other beneficiaries, the General Manager of OGBC, Engr. Tunde Awolana thanked the State government for the laudable gesture, disclosing that the two stations had before now being operating on high tension equipment,

He added that the new electricity transformer would be a great relieve and reduce the frequency of power outage by the Power Holding Company of Nigeria.
