The
Ogun State Governor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun has given approval for the
promotion of 1,447 workers in the State Civil Service for the year 2011
promotion exercise.
The Chairman of the State Civil Service
Commission, Mrs. Aderonke Folarin who made this public in a statement in
Abeokuta indicated that those promoted are made up of 884 senior and 563 junior
officers from all cadres of the service.
The
statement also indicated that a total of 64 junior officers have been upgraded,
having acquired additional qualifications.
Mrs.
Folarin recalled that since inception, the Senator Amosun-led administration
had been showing keen interest in the welfare of workers as evidenced by the
prompt implementation of the new minimum wage, regular payment of salaries and
implementation of the approved tax relief for workers among others.
The
Civil Service Commission boss therefore enjoined beneficiaries of the promotion
and upgrading exercise as well as other civil servants to reciprocate the
gesture of the State Government through improvement in their performances and
unwavering loyalty, assuring that Government would continue to do
everything necessary to fulfill its obligations to them.
